Digital Painting with Justin Sweet

Justin Sweet was busy this past weekend. Here is a little preview of what he was up to.

Sweet’s goal was to stimulate his feel for a character. He has a new commision to depict on paperback covers. Robert E. Howards character KULL. About 80 percent through the demo he decided it had nothing to do with the Kull image he had from the books or in his mind, so he slapped a beard and helment on him to make it a kind of cliche viking. http://www.justinsweet.com/

The camera flash was disabled causing some motion blur due to a slower shutter speed.
