Twenty days of summer - Pinwire
 In Art & Design, Video

After over a year of sorting, compiling, clipping and converting over 74,000 individual slides, my Twenty days of summer Fossil Bluff backyard makeover time lapse video log, is finally done. Record breaking high temperatures in June 2009 made this a true labor of love.

A special thanks to Tim Counts who provided us with so much support and supplies which really enabled us to kick start and complete this project.

Twenty days of summer from Tom McGuire on Vimeo.

While the video takes place over twenty days, the actual project timeline was a full month without weekends. Lonestar Grass provided much of the labor; however I was manually involved for the entire process each and every day. And yes, driving a Bob Cat is fun but can be a little bit rough on the lower back.

The video was shot with a Canon XTi at 1080p and scaled down to fit within the file size limitations of a free Vimeo account. I would really like put the full 34 minute video online in at least 720p at some point. The image details get lost somewhat in the resolution reduction. Enjoy! It’s worth watching all the way through.
