We attended the Austin Tea Party 2009 today and it was pretty much what we expected. Overall it appeared that the organizers of the rally were organized but the attending public was there to complain about everything under the sun. I was sort of expecting a more targeted rally with a focus of taxation and the stimulus bill.
We marched down to ‘Lady Bird Lake’ or ‘Town Lake’ after the rally was done at the capitol building where the organizers had prepared a re-enactment of the original Boston Tea Party. There was no actual tea used in the re-enactment which would hurt the fish making this a GREEN event? The estimated turnout for the event was around 5,000 people.
Here are photos we took of the event.

I'm hoping to know where I can hear when tea parties are happening. I don't see anything about in the media anywhere (HMM). If you know please post it up.
