I received an email today which had some quotes from two of Barak Obama’s books. Overall they were very thought provoking. You decide for yourself. I am an undecided voter but I try to keep my ear to the ground relating to both political parties.
From Dreams of My Father:
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
From Dreams of My Father:
"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."
From Dreams of My Father:
"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white"

From Dreams of My Father:
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
From Dreams of My Father:
"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."
From Dreams of My Father:
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Tom,
Im still trying to figure out why you are an undecided voter. Do these type of comments not concern you about the hidden character and possible hidden agenda of Barak Obama ? I personally do not trust his motives. I can only judge by what is known and by what his past reveals about his character. I heard from a corporate executive recently that the one statement heard repeatedly in there training seminars is that "the past is the greatest indicator of future performance." I have found this to be especially true in politics. I have no reason to believe that Obamas associations will change, nor do I believe he has changed his views toward the "white man" as he calls us. Perhaps I am wrong but it seems to me tha the man I see on television and the man behind the scenes are two completely different people. "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." I dont care if Barak embraces the white culture or if he embraces the philosophies his very own father sought to promote. The most important thing is i looked deeply through a mechanical device and i listened as he addressed a nation of people , and what i experienced is love and genuine concern.what most people feel towards obama is empathy and it reflects nothing about him it only display the content of your character when you question your leaders' stance on these delicate issues . why not question white paul in the bible he says "to will is present but to do good i find not". He sought out to persecute christians but in the end became the most renowned figure of that subject and era. I tell you What is impossible in the eyes of men is possible with god.
