I received an email from my aunt who lives in San Diego today and it included the photos shown below. I’ve been through this kind of firestorm before and have lived close enough to the flames to feel the heat.
I can’t help but feel a little envious of the photographers that were able to capture the images below and I somehow wish I was able to be there to record the event in the same manner they did.
Life in Austin will surely bring its own tragedy and drama in the years to come. Maybe then I’ll be able to show my family and friends something they’ve not seen before and they’ll be moved.
